A conversation (in Yiddish) between Eli Benedict and Yermiyahu Ahron Taub. Hear about his books and translations, especially about his new book Blessed Hands: Stories, an English translation of Frume Halpern’s Gebentshte hent: dertseylungen. We read from his poetry, and discuss Taub’s own life story.
Yermiyahu Ahron Taub was born and raised in an Orthodox community in Philadelphia and currently resides in Washington, D.C. He is the author of two prose books and six poetry books in both Yiddish and English. In 2014, a CD featuring nine of his Yiddish poems set to music was released in Poznan, Poland. To date, he has published four translations of books from Yiddish to English and is actively working on additional translations.
