
With this issue we strove to create an immediate and current historical document that would not only convey facts about the Russian aggression against Ukraine, but would also provide authentic impressions from both sides of the conflict. At the same time, the reader himself/herself becomes a witness to how many Yiddish activists and creative forces there are today both in Ukraine and in Russia: historians, literati, artists — as well as a tremendous volume of Yiddish materials which to this day have been left unexplored.
